1) Go to https://eforms.atf.gov/ to register for an account
2) Click on the green register button under "Create an Eforms Account"
3) The "User Registration" page will appear
A) Fill out all of the information thoroughly and correctly. Any information different from your application to your "User Registration" will throw an error at the end of the application.
B) Areas to be mindful of:
B.1) Middle name. If you don't put it down, use an initial or full middle.
B.2) The suffix of your street. You live at 123 Apple Lane. You spell it 123 Apple Ln on your user registration, then 123 Apple Lane on your application, this will throw an error.
B.3) Password. Turn all of the red x's to green checkmarks.
B.4) Your password is to sign into your account. Your PIN number is to sign your application electronically.
B.5) Once you check the box for "I'm not a robot" and click "Register," the ATF will send you two emails. The first email should be a welcome email. Nothing needs to be done with this email. The second email contains your username. It will be a combination of your first and last name with numbers. Please keep track of your username, as you need that and your PIN to electronically sign your application.
